3.0L Duramax Throttle Valve Delete (LM2)
The 3.0L Duramax LM2 throttle valve delete removes the largest restriction in the factory intake system to improve airflow and reliability. The factory throttle valve features a 2” inlet and an internal throttle blade, which restricts flow and introduces the risk of fastener failure.
This upgraded intake air valve (IAV) increases the inlet size to 2 1/4” and completely eliminates the throttle blade, allowing smoother, unrestricted airflow. Removing the blade also removes the possibility of the retaining screws backing out and being ingested by the engine.
A built-in 1/8” NPT port allows for easy connection of a mechanical boost gauge, water/methanol injection, nitrous, or for performing boost leak testing. The back-cut machined lip ensures a secure connection with both factory and aftermarket heat exchanger boots. Installation is quick and can be completed in under 30 minutes.
